Penn State Lehigh Valley faculty and staff were honored for their accomplishments at an All Campus Day luncheon, held on Aug. 19. The campus-specific awards were presented by Tina Q. Richardson, chancellor, and Anibal Torres Bernal, director of academic affairs.

Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is encouraging students to protect themselves against monkeypox in light of cases in Pennsylvania and nationally. Monkeypox is a viral infection primarily spread through prolonged close contact. It is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), and anybody can be at risk, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

Former Penn State football star and current NFL wide receiver Jahan Dotson made a triumphant return to the Lehigh Valley recently to headline two special events. On July 16 Dotson hosted “A Night of Football with Jahan Dotson," an event sponsored by the Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society in partnership with LVHN Orthopedic Institute.
Penn State Lehigh Valley’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) was established four years ago with the idea of giving promising students the extra support and resources needed to bolster their chances of college success. The program is paying big dividends, with the first group of EOP students receiving their degrees at the spring commencement ceremony.
Based on public health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), face masks are no longer required to be worn indoors at the University Park, Great Valley, Lehigh Valley, New Kensington, Schuylkill and Scranton campuses, effective Friday, June 3.
